April 2025 Artistic Director Update

Dear Friends of Theatre Nouveau,

First and foremost, a warm “Thank you” to all our patrons and friends who have supported us during our first two seasons. We are thrilled by the ongoing wonderful feedback to our shows and are inspired to go forward with renewed energy!

At this time, we are undergoing organizational changes, which don’t allow us to mount a spring offering. However, we look forward to a fall, 2025 production, through which we will continue our commitment to quality performances that support our mission of presenting material of relevant contemporary social significance.

Currently, we are seeking friends who may want to have a voice in our small organization by serving on our Board of Directors.  By joining us, you can be a force in Theatre Nouveau’s future.  All board directors are encouraged to contribute to any of our organizational and artistic discussions and decisions.  Also, we are always thrilled to welcome newcomers who may want to serve in a production capacity, including in the areas of front-of-house (Box Office and ushering), leading post-show talk-back sessions, stage management, outreach, publicity, costumes and properties. Of course, you would receive training and guidance; and all these positions allow you to see the show for free! Additionally, during the rehearsal process, workshops that address the specific performance demands of each production are typically offered. These have included dialect and voice training, acting workshops, sessions addressing Shakespeare performance demands, and movement work. Anyone working on a production may attend these for free.

If you are interested in acting in one of our shows, we are thrilled to be able to offer a stipend to help defray the costs of travel and meals.
